How Our Rental Process Works
We generally try to reserve weeks that we know are popular for renting. Sometimes we will also post weeks here that we plan to use ourselves but would be willing to rent out. (Some we just keep for ourselves and don’t tell you about!) See the Vacation Weeks page for information about the weeks we have already reserved and confirmed.
Once a week is rented, it’s gone—first come, first served. In general, we’re limited to about 10 to 12 weeks per year that we can reserve, so when those weeks are gone, they’re gone.
To get the best weeks at popular resorts, we usually need to reserve them 10 to 11 months ahead of the arrival date. If there’s a particular resort you would like to stay at more than 10 months in the future, let us know and we’ll attempt to reserve it for you if we can. We have provided links to the primary resort companies we deal with. There are also many other resorts available around the world through the RCI and Interval International exchange services. If you see one that you would like to rent, please contact us and we’ll check to see if the week and type of unit you want is available. We’ll also quote you a rental price.
We have a sample of our standard rental agreement that you can download. Download the latest version of Adobe Reader here to read it, if needed.
When you request a week from us, we’ll fill out the agreement form with the appropriate information and send you a copy of it. You return the signed agreement with a 50% non-refundable deposit, and the week is yours. The final payment is due one month prior to the reserved week. There is an escrow service available if you would like, but all costs for the escrow service are to be paid by you.
There are well over 100 resorts available here. We have stayed at quite a few, but there a lot we haven’t seen. We do our very best to find good locations that will provide an excellent vacation experience. However, it is your responsibility to make sure that the resort meets your needs and comfort level—we make no claims about the quality of the resorts.
The final step is for you to go have a great vacation!
Then send us an e-mail to let us know about it. We love to get feedback so we can keep improving our offerings.
